Position Overview:
Anakan GmbH is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and team-oriented translator and project manager to manage translation, localization, and other language-related projects.
We are looking for an individual who will enjoy being part of a team that is rapidly expanding and contributing significantly to the company bottom line.
The successful candidate will coordinate linguistic projects with in-house and freelance translators, in terms of schedule, production and budget. She or he will be in charge of our translation team.
This position is full-time and in-house at the Anakan office in Berlin.
Start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Assigning work to translators in-house as well as freelancers, setting guidelines and supervising work in progress
- Preparing, packaging, sending, and receiving files for translation and linguistic QA
- Maintaining product specific glossaries, translation memories and any other linguistic material, and ensure the consistent use of them
- Actively coordinating the resolution of linguistic issues
- Working with other members of the group, in a team or as a project lead, respecting all procedures
- Ensuring core product teams produce localization kits and certification kits prior to localization project launches
- Proofreading of translations
Unsere Anforderungen
Requirements:
- Between 2 to 5 years working experience in translation and management
Enjoys managing several products simultaneously and is able to easily switch context between projects
- Possesses excellent cross-functional negotiation and communication skills
- Native fluency in German as well as a perfect command of the English language (source language) is essential
- University Degree
- Strong team player
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Ability to research in depth a variety of subjects
- Understands and can clearly communicate on software engineering
- Use MS Project, MS office, CAT software like Trados, MemoQ, etc
