On behalf of over sixty major brands, TerraCycle collects branded non-recyclable waste, mostly packaging waste, and (through licensees) it turns that waste into new eco-friendly products and materials. In late 2009, TerraCycle began operations in the UK. By early 2012, TerraCycle is operating in 11 countries in Western Europe and 20 countries globally. The company seeks to hire a Business Development Manager to manage business development for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).
Ihre Aufgaben
The Business Development Manager will first be based at TerraCycle s European headquarters in London with frequent travels to Germany, Austria and Switzerland being required. After six to nine months, TerraCycle will open offices in Mainz, Germany and the Business Development Manager will relocate to Mainz together with the TerraCycle team responsible for the DACH region.
The Business Development Manager will report directly to the German General Manager with a dotted line to the VP, Business Development (who is based in the US headquarters, outside of New York).
Responsibilities include:
Research, identify and contact potential brand partners
Create and pitch deal proposals
Lead contract negotiations with confirmed brand partners
Support the Head of Business Development, Europe in implementing TerraCycle s European business development strategy
Update and maintain a database of TerraCycle s deals

The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment and juggle multiple responsibilities amidst shifting deadlines and priorities.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in business development, preferably within the packaging or CPG industry would be a plus.
- Candidate must be fluent in German and English and must have some experience of living in either Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Skills in French are also beneficial.
- A demonstrated interest in sustainable/green business
Compensation
£22k £25k depending on experience
