We offer translations, subtitles, training and consulting services for our many clients from the realms of business, education and the media.
 
Ihre Aufgaben
Main Tasks:
-translating and adapting dialogues to match the images and the time available,
-spotting, i.e. determining when a subtitle should appear on the screen and disappear while observing natural speech rhythm and a consistent viewer reading speed,
-ascertaining individual frames and handling cuts,
-word processing and spotting functions using the subtitling software systems
-revision
-proofreading
 
Unsere Anforderungen
TITELBILD offers a limited number of traineeships to young graduates, gifted students and young professionals with a background in translation, linguistics or language studies, who are interested in learning about and/or gaining experience in subtitling. Applicants should have sound writing skills in their mother tongue, exceptional translation skills and an interest in screen translation.

Education and Experience
University degree in translation or in languages.
Some experience in translation.
Experience/training in audiovisual translation desirable, but not required.


General skills and abilities:
Clear and concise translation style
Ability to work under time pressure while maintaining high levels of output and quality, both independently and as part of an international team.
Skills in researching terminology, language and subject matter.
Highly developed social competence and team spirit

Language Skills
Native speaker with profound knowledge of its grammar and style as well as idiomatic usage.
Very thorough knowledge of the English language and culture is essential.
Fluent in German desirable, but not necessary.
